International Entrepreneurship Exchange Program between National Chung Cheng University and Thammasat University
To cultivate talent at the University and enhance students’ practical experience in order to strengthen their career competitiveness, National Chung Cheng University held an International Entrepreneurship Exchange Activity with faculty and students from Thammasat University (TU) on October 20, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, at the Main Conference Room of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Hub at CCU.
The event was represented by Associate Professor Lin Yueh-Chiao of National Chung Cheng University. During the exchange, participants from both institutions shared and discussed student entrepreneurship experiences and innovative ideas, fostering cross-cultural dialogue and collaboration.
Founded in 1933, Thammasat University is one of Thailand’s most historic universities. TU offers a wide range of interdisciplinary academic programs and provides instruction in both Thai and English. Since its establishment, the university has cultivated more than 40,000 distinguished alumni worldwide. In response to rapid global changes, TU has in recent years developed five international programs in fields such as finance, accounting, and business administration, while actively strengthening partnerships with industry. In recognition of its academic excellence, TU was awarded EQUIS accreditation by the European Foundation for Management Development in 2012.
In 1960, TU became the first university in Thailand to require students to pass a national entrance examination for admission. Over its more than 90-year history, Thammasat University has evolved from an institution specializing in law and political science into a comprehensive international university offering a broad range of disciplines. To date, it has graduated more than 300,000 undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students. Its distinguished alumni include several Prime Ministers of Thailand, Governors of the Bank of Thailand, and renowned legal scholars. TU has achieved the prestigious “Triple Crown” accreditation, holding EQUIS, AACSB, and AMBA certifications, an honor attained by fewer than 1% of business schools worldwide.
Associate Professor Lin Yueh-Chiao expressed the hope that this exchange of entrepreneurial environments and cultures would inspire students from CCU and TU to develop diverse forms of innovative thinking, and that the opportunities for cross-institutional student interaction would further promote maker education and entrepreneurial learning.
